Our past efforts include: IRELAND Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, Ireland The Moynihan Group, LLC currently represents Mary Immaculate College (MIC) in Limerick, Ireland in its efforts to educate and promote the college’s mission and to further the strong link between Limerick and Massachusetts. We have provided a forum for MIC to meet with state government officials and representatives of the higher education community in Massachusetts. NORTHERN IRELAND We believe the link between Northern Ireland and the Commonwealth is extremely important to the political, economic and cultural prosperity and growth of both communities, particularly now that a political resolution has been reached and is working with the return of power to the Northern Ireland Assembly. The Moynihan Group, LLC will actively pursue an on-going dialogue with educational and governmental institutions in Northern Ireland. Our efforts to date are outlined below.
Clinton Centre, Eniskillen,County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland Our firm’s President Mr. Sean P. Moynihan co-authored the goals and objectives of the William J. Clinton Centre in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland which was established to promote peace and reconciliation throughout the world. “The Clinton Centre in the heart of Enniskillen was built in 2002 and was dedicated to Bill Clinton and his work for Peace in Northern Ireland. The Centre caters for people from all walks of life and provides socially inclusive and focused programmes on grass roots participation for local people and visitors to Enniskillen. The Centre provides programmes that are educational, recreational and creative with a focus on social, business, culture and heritage development for Co Fermanagh. The Centre hosts the Higher Bridges Gallery, a modern and contemporary exhibiting space that promotes the arts. The Centre also has conference facilities, catering provision and a modern youth hostel. The building is situated on the site of the former St. Michael’s Reading Rooms, which were demolished in the Enniskillen Remembrance Day bomb. William Jefferson Clinton officially opened the building on the 5th June 2002.” [Source: Northern Ireland Tourist Board]
Fermanagh College, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland Our past efforts include assisting Fermanagh College in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh in their efforts to initiate a dialogue with collegiate counterparts in Massachusetts and New York. Mr. Moynihan served as a special advisor to a legislative trade mission to Belfast and Derry in 2001. He is a delegate to a trade mission to take place in the Spring of 2009 with the Irish Chamber United States - New England Division and several members of the Massachusetts business and governmental communities. Our firm is also a strong supporter of the efforts of the Irish Immigration Center (IIC) in Boston, MA and the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform (ILIR). Mr. Moynihan is an IIC volunteer and most recently served as a member of the 2007 Solas Awards Dinner Committee. |
